Blue & Gold Banquet

The theme for this year's Blue & Gold Banquet was "Our 50 States". Thanks to Kevin Pfunder, each place setting had a United States map with the actual test one takes to become a United States citizen. It looked harder than some of the questions on "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" and I'm not sure I could pass! AJ led the flag ceremony, followed by a wonderful dinner. Cakes were baked by each auxillary, as well as cupcakes by the Primary kids which we used for a cake walk. Each chair for the cake walk was decorated by the Cub Scouts with a map of one of the 50 states - and showing the capital, state bird, and state flower. Aaron Reep sang the "Fifty States" song, and when he stopped singing, a state name was drawn, and whoever was at that state's chair won a cupcake. We also had a short awards ceremony, where AJ, Bryan, and Andrew all received silver arrow points.
