The Alphabet Ends with "Y"
As a huge fan of mystery books, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Sue Grafton, who has delighted me for years with her "Alphabet" series, starting with "A" Is For Alibi, written in 1982.
Kinsey Millhone was the star and detective in 25 books, with the latest being "Y" Is For Yesterday. We waited with anticipation for the last book, "Z" Is For Zero, which sadly will never be written. Sue's daughter Jamie, posted on her Facebook today with the sad news of Sue's passing. She mentions how adamant Sue was, that "her books never be turned into movies or TV shows, and that in that same vein, she would never allow a ghost writer to write in her name. Because of all of those things, and out of a deep and abiding love and respect for our dear sweet Sue, as far as we in the family are concerned, the alphabet now ends in Y"
